Fall centerpiece
I don’t believe in empty spaces. I am definitely not a minimalist. Leaving a kitchen table, coffee table, or countertop bar empty just isn’t my style.
I like to start every centerpiece with a piece that softens up the hard surface. A long runner or vintage table cover are perfect for this. Next, we want to ground the space with a large item!! In this centerpiece we are using a dough bowl. Other ideas for a “starter piece” are bread boards or trays.
Now, let’s fill up that bowl!! I’m going to make the the focal point of my bowl my DIY RUSTIC PUMPKINS!! You could use ANY pumpkins you have. These pumpkins were very easy! You can find the tutorial HERE!!!!
Now let’s add some faux florals! First, I added two separate stems to each side of the pumpkins. The stems were a mix of faux cornstalks, wheat, pinecones and orange pumpkins. I just laid them down on each side letting them cascade over the edges. Next, I tucked inside these faux HOPS from the Urban Farmhouse to make the arrangement look extra full!!
For the final touch I tucked in a crotched tea towel from Mast General Store. These towels are my favorite! They remind me of old hand crotched towels. They add instant softness and texture. You’ll find one in almost every vignette I have in my kitchen.
That’s it! It’s so easy to turn a plain table into a Fall masterpiece!! I would love to see your centerpiece creations!! Also, go check out my friend Amy’s @myrustichouse blog HERE and her amazing Fall centerpiece!!!

Thatโs really beautiful! Do you happen to remember where you got the dough bowl?
