Easy Apple Turnover Ring
Let me start off by saying this….I’ve never used a rolling pin. I don’t believe in hard recipes with lots of steps. I’m a busy Mom, working woman, hobby farmer, and wife who doesn’t have time to spend hours in the kitchen. This recipe only requires 3 ingredients!!!
Ingredients:
- 2 packages of crescent rolls
- 1 can of apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
The first step is to make a “ring” with your crescent rolls. Place the flat side of the crescent roll toward the middle of the pan. Continue placing the rolls down touching end to end as you make a ring.
Next, open your 2nd can of rolls and place them down the same way. Overlapping and filling in the gaps as you go.
Open your can of Apple Pie Filling and spoon the filling into the center (or bottom) of the rolls where it’s overlapping.
This next step is optional. I added extra cinnamon to my apples!! I love the Flavor God buttery cinnamon roll spice!! I just sprinkle it on the apples. You could add regular cinnamon, or whatever spice you like, or leave them plain. The apple pie filling already comes lightly spiced.
Now we want to fold over our crescent rolls and tuck the pointed end under.
Bake at 375ยฐ for 15 to 20 mins. until golden brown. While the Apple Ring is baking mix the powdered sugar with 1 to 2 Tbsp. of milk. You can also use water if you don’t have milk.
Wait just a few minutes until your ring has slightly cooled before you drizzle on the icing.
That’s it!!! Enjoy!!!
