Antiquin’ in the Southeastern Midwest

As many of you know, last week my hubby and I took a junkin trip!!! We drove around the midwest hitting up my favorite honey holes in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. This junkin’ gal’s literal dream vacation!! (My husband was also recently badly hurt in a work accident, so this was also perfect for him. We were able to only drive short distances and let him get out and move around, and the staff at the places we went were ssssoooo kind and helped us load everything.) I wanted to give a run down of the trip, the junk we got and all the places we went to!! So here is ultimate guide to antiquin’ in the southeastern midwest!

ps – if you missed my guide to the best markets in Southern Illinois, check it out here!

We started in Kentucky…

We started out trip in Louisville, KY at Fleur De Flea Vintage Market! The Fleur De Flea (what a cute name, amiright?!) has a little more of an urban antique shop. It is a little more hipster than your traditional antique store, but I love it for that reason! It’s got your mix of old and new:)

Then we went to Midtown Peddler’s Mall. It is also in Louisville. Peddler’s is much more of your typical vendor antique mall. I found lots of great pieces here as well!

Then we made our way to Indiana…

I cannot go antique shopping without hitting up Olde Tyme Marketplace. Olde Tyme Marketplace is by far one of my favorite stores in the world. I also happen to kinda be besties with the owner;) Beth is the owner of OTM, and I LOVE BETH!!!!! I love that instagram has allowed me to make real life friendships, and Beth is one of those friendships. SUCH A SWEETHEART!!!

Old Tyme Marketplace has also been featured in Country Sampler, The Country Register and Flea Market Style, so if you don’t believe me that it’s great, take their word for it!

Me and my bestie Beth!
One of the many beautiful vignettes at OTM!

We then went to Lumber Mall and River West which are also in Madison, IN. If you ever have time to go to Madison, I HIGHLY suggest it!!! It is the cutest, quaintest little town. The downtown is full of adorable antique shops like these and also some great little coffee shops and book stores!!

Ohio was next on our list…

Ohio Valley Antique Mall is the biggest antique mall I have EVER been in!!! We spent an entire day here. I thought I was in heaven.

We then went to West Chester Antique Mall. It was not my favorite spot (lacked a little diversity in their items to me), but I was able to find a good piece or two before leaving.

We hit up Kentucky one last time…

On the way back to Southern Illinois, we went back through Kentucky, and I hit up the antique mall in Florence, KY.

My “loot shoot”!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Some last junkin’ tips..

And that is my ultimate guide to antiquin in the southeastern midwest! I couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. Some time with just the hubby antique shoppin? That’s this gal’s dream!!! However, I know that we probably missed some amazing stores in these areas. If you know of any, please comment below! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’d love to visit them on our next trip!!
