Apple Pecan Dump Cake
I have the sweetest memories of my Dad having a big bowl of pecans, next to his chair, every winter. Pecans are a great snack, or recipe ingredient, especially at the holiday season.
I may have already told you this but I’m all about an easy recipe. I love to take a boxed cake mix and make it into something fabulous! Today I want to share this Apple Pecan Dump Cake.
Ingredients:
- 2 cans of apple pie filling
- 1 1/2 cups pecans
- 1 box of Butter Pecan Cake Mix
- 1 jar of caramel sauce
- 1/8 tsp. Allspice
- 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
- 3/4 cup of butter
1. Add two cans of apple pie filling to a 9×13 pan and spread evenly.
2. Top with a jar of caramel sauce and sprinkle spices over the mixture. Optional: You can also add a chopped pecan layer here.
3. Pour cake mix over the apple, caramel and pecan mixture and top with butter pats.
4. Top mixture with pecans halves.
Bake at 350° for 50 mins.
This recipe is so easy to take to any holiday meal!! You can find a video of me making this recipe HERE!!!
