SOUP GROUP SHARE ๐Ÿฒ Nothing warms the body and SOUP GROUP SHARE ๐Ÿฒ Nothing warms the body and soul quite like a bowl of homemade soup. ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ‘‰Today I made a delicious homemade tomato soup that I have actually shared before. I wanted to share it again because it's our favorite tomato soup!!! ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ˜‹ Plus, what could be cuter than these mini gingerbread men grilled cheese sandwiches!? (Again....where is that gingerbread emoji ๐Ÿคฃ) You can find the tomato soup recipe in my stories!!! ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿฒ ๐Ÿ‘‰To make the gingerbread men grilled cheese sandwiches: 1. Lay out 2 pieces of bread and fill with your favorite cheese 2. Assemble the sandwich and flatten it out with a rolling pin 3. Use a gingerbread cookie cutter to cut your sandwich into shapes 4. Add butter to the bread on both sides 5. Brown on a hot flat surface on the stove. Flipping to brown both sides evenly. This year I used a lot of staple pieces like old wooden bowls, crocks, old books (in Christmas colors), and antique lanterns. Suddenly these treasures become Christmas decor just by adding simple touches like greenery. ๐ŸŒฟ If you are going to buy something new for Christmas I recommend a candle!!! Burning Christmas scents can really get you into the Christmas spirit. HARD CANDY CHRISTMAS ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ We can't celebr HARD CANDY CHRISTMAS ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ We can't celebrate the holidays without sweet treats!!๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ™Œ I moved our DIY pie safe to this area in the Fall and I'm still really loving it here! When I was deciding how to decorate this space for Christmas I knew I wanted an old fashioned candy or baking theme. ๐Ÿคถ I was digging through my Christmas stash and I found the cutest little KRINGLE'S SWEET SHOPPE sign!! Sometimes it's fun to re-visit your old treasures!! ๐Ÿค— ๐Ÿ‘‰How I styled this space: 1. I used layers of cutting boards and vintage muffin tins as a fun backdrop. 2. I added simple touches like vintage glass lid Ball jars. I filled them with old fashioned ingredients like peppermint sticks and star anise. 3. I used baker's twine to attach old hand written recipe cards to a tiny cutting board. 4. I used lots of wooden kitchen utensils, nestled inside of antique ironstone pieces, to add warmth to the space. 5. A new PEPPERMINT TWIST @milkbarncandles and a soft peppermint striped tea towel from @interiordelights.co help to cozy up the atmosphere. 6. For extra layering I stacked an antique pie tray filled with old antique pie tins and faux pies made by @everythingdawn on top of the DIY pie safe. 7. I made some DIY cinnamon salt dough gingerbread men and tucked them into a stack of ironstone bowls. Christmas decor does not have to be expensive to be super cute!!! ๐Ÿ˜ We use lots of well loved vintage items that we find at garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, highway rummage sales and thrift stores!!! ๐Ÿ™Œ But I also found lots of amazing pieces TEMU that easily fit into my decor style!! I think they have something for everyone!!!!๐Ÿค— WHAT'S FROM TEMU IN THIS VIDEO: the set of 2 lanterns, the flameless candles, the real feel garland, the real feel wreath (that I used as a centerpiece), and the beautiful gold frame. It only takes 3 ingredients and you can customize the flavors!!๐Ÿ™Œ I found the cutest items @shoptemu to customize a SWEET GIFT for teachers, coworkers, besties, Sunday school teachers, or an open house or party favors! Ingredients: 2 bags of lightly salted popcorn 2 bag of white chocolate chips 2 Tbsp of oil Sprinkles, sanding sugar, peppermint or chocolate (anything you want to sprinkle on top) optional Recipe: Pop the popcorn and spread it across parchment paper (try to dig out the un-popped kernels if you can) Mix together your chocolate chips and oil and microwave them in 15 seconds intervals (stirring in between) until you get a smooth consistency. CRAFT WITH ME ๐ŸŽ€ OK ....Show of hands.....who t CRAFT WITH ME ๐ŸŽ€ OK ....Show of hands.....who thinks they need a gingerbread emoji!? ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ I know I could have used one several times already in the past few weeks. ๐Ÿคฃ Anyway, today's SNEAK PEEK is a fun craft I did last week. I made CINNAMON SALT DOUGH and this is the best recipe I have found. It comes out perfectly balanced and feels just like playdough!!! Remember that if you are going to make these into ornaments you will need to add a hole before baking. I just used mine as bowl fillers. These would also make adorable tags for gifts, table places cards, open house gifts. The possibilities are endless!! I also added a grungy little frayed ribbon to mine. I dyed the ribbon using tea. You could also use baker's twine or red frayed ribbon or even jute string. RECIPE: Cinnamon Salt Dough Recipe 1-1/4 cups flour 1/2 cup salt 1/2 cup cinnamon 3/4 cup water (or coffee grunge) The coffee grunge recipe is: -1 cup hot water - 1/2 cup instant coffee 2 Tbsp vanilla 2 Tbsp cinnamon (Mix together in a glass jar) Mix together until dough forms. Roll out and cut out shapes. Bake at 200ยฐ for 1 hrs or until dried out. I didn't have any trouble with this recipe. However if it does seem dry to you and not like playdough just add a little water at a time until it feels like playdough. It only takes 3 ingredients and you can customize the flavors!!๐Ÿ™Œ I found the cutest items @shoptemu to customize a SWEET GIFT for teachers, coworkers, besties, Sunday school teachers, or an open house or party favors! Ingredients: 2 bags of lightly salted popcorn 2 bag of white chocolate chips 2 Tbsp of oil Sprinkles, sanding sugar, peppermint or chocolate (anything you want to sprinkle on top) optional Recipe: Pop the popcorn and spread it across parchment paper (try to dig out the un-popped kernels if you can) Mix together your chocolate chips and oil and microwave them in 15 seconds intervals (stirring in between) until you get a smooth consistency. Christmas decor does not have to be expensive to be super cute!!! ๐Ÿ˜ We use lots of well loved vintage items that we find at garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, highway rummage sales and thrift stores!!! ๐Ÿ™Œ But I also found lots of amazing pieces TEMU @shoptemu that easily fit into my decor style!! CRAFT WITH ME ๐ŸŽ€ OK ....Show of hands.....who t CRAFT WITH ME ๐ŸŽ€ OK ....Show of hands.....who thinks they need a gingerbread emoji!? ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ I know I could have used one several times already in the past few weeks. ๐Ÿคฃ Anyway, today's SNEAK PEEK is a fun craft I did last week. I made CINNAMON SALT DOUGH and this is the best recipe I have found. It comes out perfectly balanced and feels just like playdough!!! Remember that if you are going to make these into ornaments you will need to add a hole before baking. I just used mine as bowl fillers. These would also make adorable tags for gifts, table places cards, open house gifts. The possibilities are endless!! I also added a grungy little frayed ribbon to mine. I dyed the ribbon using tea. You could also use baker's twine or red frayed ribbon or even jute string. RECIPE: Cinnamon Salt Dough Recipe 1-1/4 cups flour 1/2 cup salt 1/2 cup cinnamon 3/4 cup water (or coffee grunge) The coffee grunge recipe is: -1 cup hot water - 1/2 cup instant coffee 2 Tbsp vanilla 2 Tbsp cinnamon (Mix together in a glass jar) Mix together until dough forms. Roll out and cut out shapes. Bake at 200ยฐ for 1 hrs or until dried out. I didn't have any trouble with this recipe. However if it does seem dry to you and not like playdough just add a little water at a time until it feels like playdough.
