COZY VINTAGE FALL PORCH INSPIRATION
A cozy Fall porch can be a lifesaver!! Seriously!! Taking time out for yourself is a great way to stay healthy and motivated.
You might be wondering what a Fall porch has to do with being healthy!? For starters, Fall is a beautiful time of year. The weather, the colors, the fact that the yard doesn’t have to be mowed quite as often!! Each one of these things is one more reason to sit and enjoy.
When we take time for ourselves we just feel better!!! Sitting on your Fall porch, early in the morning, while everyone else is still asleep is so peaceful. The temperature has dropped just enough that you may even be able to have on a pair of cozy pajamas, your fuzzy slippers, or even a soft blanket.
Now that you are decked out in the essentials the porch needs to make you feel more relaxed. Easy vintage decor can help!!
Here is a list of my top Fall vintage items for a cozy vintage Fall porch !!!
- Bushel baskets (for mum’s, mounds of pumpkins, or that super cute kale plant)
- Galvanized buckets and tubs (also for pumpkins and flowers)
- Old farm feeders (great for any flower)
- Whiskey barrels (they double as a fantastic side table)
- Old ladders (think apple pickin’ in the country)
- Grain sacks (they are fantastic to make pillows out of or hang on old ladders)
- Old porch chairs and gliders
- Old watering cans (I leave mine out all year round)
Now add in a few new finds like a new wreath, some soft new pillows, a fun fall doormat, an inspirational sign, or a colorful plaid throw.
Would you rather have a more rustic wreath? Check out HOW TO MAKE A CORNSTALK WREATH HERE!!!!
Top it all off with those seasonal items like geraniums, ornamental kale, pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks or even dried sunflower heads! ( I have a tutorial about that HERE) !! You can even leave out the Summer flowers that are still hanging on!! I always have Kimberly Ferns left this time of the year!!
That’s it!!! You have everything you need!! It’s time to sit back and relax!! Grab the latest Fall decor magazine and get your motivation going!!!

I am so glad I read this today. Iโve been on the fence about fall decorating. I havenโt done any except buy pumpkins and gourds. Fall is my favorite but Iโm dealing with a sick husband who has a critical condition. Iโm depressed and unmotivated to do anything. Your post has helped. Tomorrow I am going to get the bins out and enjoy decorating like I have every year. Thank you!
Iโm new with Instagram and havenโt posted anything. Seems complicated with all the hashtags but I enjoy seeing all the vintage. Keep up the good work. Youโre a favorite

Such pretty natural colors are really the best way to decorate for fall. What a great collection of old pieces, thanks for the inspiration.

Hi Jenn. Wow, I absolutely love love love your front porch. You have the same taste as I do. I love farmhouse rustic decor. I only wish my three wee dogs and I had a small farmhouse cabin out in the country close to a town but away from neighbors. I like my privacy.
Thank you so much for sharing your home and decorating ideas. I thoroughly enjoyed it all.
Happy Fall and Happy Thanksgiving.
