DIY Tabletop S’mores Station

There are a couple of things in life that I believe we don’t grow out of. We don’t grow out of wanting to have a good time, ice cream, good movies, a good book, cake for breakfast, Twizzlers (in my personal opinion) and s’mores. S’mores are timeless and what I think summer tastes like. No matter how old or who ya are, s’mores are amazing. I got tired of having to wait for a fire to be built in order to enjoy s’mores though, so I created my own little tabletop s’mores station! I know I’m not the only one who loves s’mores this much, so I thought I would share my DIY tabletop s’mores station with ya’ll!

This face doesn’t lie–s’mores are the BEST!!! And if you love this shirt as much as I do, go check out The Picket Fences shirt shop on IG or Etsy!!:)

DIY Tabletop S’mores Station

  • Supplies:
    • Chicken Feeder
      • I used a chicken feeder because I have PLENTY and to give it a rustic look, but you can use anything.
    • Pebbles
      • These are just a filler. Again, I thought it enhanced the rustic look.
    • Sterno Canned Heat
    • Roasting sticks
    • All your yummy s’mores ingredients!!!
      • Did you know Hershey makes a s’mores kit?! Go check it out!!!
      • My family and I LOVE getting creative with our s’mores! Dempsey, in particular, loves peanut butter, so she’s been known to put peanut butter on her s’mores!
  • Instructions:
    • Clean out the feeder (or whatever you’re using)
    • Fill in with the pebbles or other filler.
    • Stick the Sterno Canned Heat in about 6 inch intervals
    • Pop open the lid of the canned heat and ignite the gel inside just like you would a candle
      • these lids open similarly to a paint can lid and can be reattached the same way
    • Put your marshmallows on the end of those beautiful roasting sticks
    • Cook up your marshmallow to slightly burnt perfection (it’s the best way. No debates there;) ) and then put your chocolate on and smoosh it between those graham crackers and ENJOY!!!:)
This stuff is amazing and the reason why this DIY is so simple!!
She loves s’mores almost as much as her step-momma!!

As you can tell, Jillian LOVES the s’mores station.:) As soon as the girls get to our house on Friday nights, she is usually asking for the roasting sticks. I love being able to pass down my love for anything, but especially my love of s’mores, to my kiddos. (If you’ve followed me for awhile, you know that Jillian and Sophi are my stepdaughters (aka bonus babies), but of course there is no partiality in our home.)

This is my back patio. I’ll be sharing how we turned this into my favorite little oasis soon!!:)
Doesn’t this just look like summer?!

Whatever the occasion…

I also love this little s’mores station because it’s good for any holiday. With Father’s Day coming up, it’s a great, simple and SUPER CHEAP way for the girls to do something with their daddy that they all enjoy. Nothing is better than the gift of quality time, right? ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s also super great for larger gatherings! Whether it’s a birthday party, camping out in the yard, or a larger family gathering like our upcoming 4th of July cookout, this DIY s’mores station is fun for all ages. It is gives your guests something fun to do and a tasty treat:)

Some things really are timeless….

I’m really, really glad that some things are truly timeless. S’more are one of those things, and I’m glad that I’ve never outgrown them. I’m also just really glad that the small (and usually the cheap) things are the best things.

I’d love to hear how you integrate your own s’mores stations into your next party! Also, if you have any creative s’mores ideas, send them my way!! We’re always looking for ways to spice up our next Friday night with the girls:) Thanks for stopping by!!!:):)
