How to Find Treasures at a Flea Market!!

One of the questions I get asked the most is: where did you find that?! And the answer is never “at Nordstrom!” or “Pier 1!” but always: “at a FLEA MARKET!!!” I LOVE JUNK!!! (As my husband calls it;) ) I love being able to rediscover and repurpose a vintage item. It’s like an adult treasure hunt!!! These tips are like my flea market treasure map! Since I have kinda made my own treasure map through my years of flea market-ing, I figured I’d share how to find treasures at a flea market;)

Tips for finding Treasures at a Flea Market!!

  1. Get there EARLY!!!!!
    • like 4 or 5 am if they’ll let you. Some markets even offer early bird discounts!!
  2. Bring a large cart.
  3. Bring cash!!
    1. You can often get a better deal when you bring the green;)
  4. Don’t forget your water and your snacks
    • I liked it when my kids were little, and I could blame the Twizzlers on them. Now I just have to admit that I get hangry and that I really like Twizzlers. lol
  5. For the love of all flea markets, WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES!!!
    • You’re gonna be walkin and sweatin. Don’t bother lookin cute.
  6. Make friends with all the vendors.
    • They’re your new gypsy junk sisters:)

    1. And we can’t not talk about The Found Cottage!! I also haven’t been able to actually get there though. *monkey covering face emoji* But we all know Liz and all her businesses are incredible! It definitely had to be included on this list!!
Kim and I at City Farmhouse!!! If you don’t know Kim, you’re MISSING OUT!!! She is literally the sweetest. I think she’s the real treasure of City Farmhouse;)
