UPCYCLING VINTAGE TINS INTO FUN FOURTH OF JULY DECOR

Decorating for holidays doesn’t have to be expensive!! Yes, you CAN decorate with vintage items you already have laying around the house!!

This beautiful photo was taken by my friend @Southernhomeandfarm !! You can find her on Instagram or HERE!!!

Advertising cans are a great way to add a fun element to your Summer holiday decor!! The great graphics and cool colors make these tins more than just decor. They’re also great conversation starters!!!

Here is a TIP: look for vintage tins all year round in colors like red, white and blue. You can save them and use them during the Summer months from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Types of tins I hunt for are: Potato chip cans, old lard cans, coffee cans, marshmallow tins, mint tins, and even vintage Thermoses!! Anything with bright colors and interesting graphics will work!!

These tins make wonderful centerpieces for your holiday table, or special party. They are perfect as planters for your porch, or shelves. They can be used separately, or displayed together for maximum impact!!

If you need any more ideas about how to “upcycle” check out my other post where I collaborated with some other super talented ladies and upcycled so many amazing pieces!!! Taking old things and giving them a fresh new spin is one of my favorite things about using vintage items!! If you have any vintage items that you have upcycled, I would love to see! Leave a pic or comment below!:)

Everything looks beautiful Jenn. I am always on the hunt for vintage tins. I use them for seasonal decor and I have a collection of them over my top cabinets in the kitchen
