Vintage Christmas Porch
Hello, if you’re coming over from Amy My Rustic House Blog then welcome and thanks for stopping by!!!
Your porch should tell a story of what people should expect to see on the inside of your home.
My home is full of vintage pieces. I knew when I found this vintage glider that it would be a staple piece on my porch. I try to decorate around it in a way that feels cozy and welcoming.
My vintage Christmas porch is full of simple rustic reminders of the past. I love to layer them.
I started off with an antique apple ladder that I softened up with a plaid throw. I placed an old whisky barrel in front of it. Next to the barrel is a rustic Christmas tree. Then I added a vintage plaid cooler to play off of the plaid throws.
On top of the cooler is a vintage gas can that has been lazer cut with a snowman design. The little Farm Fresh Christmas sign plays nicely off of the Antique OPEN sign I hung over the glider. I felt like I was giving it the feel of an old tree farm!!
I tucked a candle and wreath inside of a willow basket I got from Red Fox Primitives. Candles will give your company a warm and cozy feeling. Then I topped it all off with an antique wooden boot jack.
To give the porch a warm and cozy feeling I like to add plenty of throws. Pillows work nicely too.
The porch feels even cozier when you layer doormats. I layered a plaid fringed mat here with a coir doormat that reads COME IN AND COZY UP.
The door gets it’s own bling with a fresh greenery wreath from Lynch Creek Farms. This one is called 3 CEDARS WREATH.
On the other end of the porch I have an antique hoosier cabinet. I keep it decorated with garden items all year. At Christmas I like to add in more fresh greens and some fun rustic touches.
I hope you enjoyed my Vintage Christmas Porch. Next on the tour is Kaley The Little White Farmhouse. Also, be sure and check out the other wonderful porches listed below!!!
